On November 7, Nvidia introduced the GeForce GTX 780 Ti, which should be a slap in the lead in almost all benchmarks conquered back from the AMD Radeon R9 290x. Click here for our comprehensive review. In recent weeks, we tested all of GTX 780 Ti cards Inno3D and Zotac. MSI and ASUS are also sent us their 780 Ti variants. These we have been thoroughly tested. ASUS GTX780Ti-DC2OC-3GD5 fg
ASUS we received the GTX780Ti-DC2OC-3GD5 either the GeForce GTX 780 Ti DirectCU II OC. The card uses the latest generation known DirectCU fg II cooler, as we encountered fg previously fg include ASUS 'custom version of the GeForce GTX 780 and Radeon R9 290x.
As already written in previous fg reviews of these cards, make the new cooler using an extremely thick (10mm) heat pipe. In addition to the 10mm heat pipe in the cooler also two 8mm and two 6mm specimens fg processed. Another novelty is that one of the two fans on the card is a so-called Cool Tech model. This special type of fan blows both downward and to the side, so that a GPU heatsink airflow can be provided optimally. fg Other cards with the new generation DirectCU II cooler already proven that the cooler is able to achieve a very limited sound. Extremely low temperatures
Like the ASUS Radeon fg R9 290x DirectCU II OC is the standard cooler completely black. Inside the box we find two sets of aluminum stickers: the standard red color, but also a set of yellow / gold variants. That is not for nothing: as announcing the latest generation of ASUS motherboards use a yellow / gold color scheme. With both sets can therefore ensure that the card fits well with the ASUS Republic of Gamers boards as normal signs.
In terms of clock frequencies is ASUS themselves, compared to the other GTX 780 Ti we tested cards, at least, lay low. The GPU runs at a default clock frequency of 954 MHz with a 1020 MHz Boost Clock. Admittedly, fg this is considerably more than the 876/928 MHz, a reference GeForce GTX 780 Ti, but other manufacturers go even further. fg The GDDR5 memory, 3 GB as usual, working with ASUS 1750 MHz.
Where other GeForce GTX 780 Ti cards a 6-pin and 8-pin PEG power connector have, we find the ASUS card twice 8-pin PEG. ASUS claims the card can result combined fg with more extreme cooling power involved and the card therefore, higher clock frequencies are capable of.
