F (above) Photo - View from the positions of the Portuguese infantry, roughly the site of the second line of the device and already a little on the left side, looking towards the center and the land occupied by the army of the Marquis of Caracena (the away). Although there are some slight differences in detail between the verdadera Relacion and Restored History of Portugal, the first narrative most accurate source in detail, we can rescue us from the Count of Ericeira to corroborate the location identified in the picture:
The three lines of cavalry and infantry of the second line were occupying, on land equal to the above, the clear-thirds of the battalions and the vanguard. The first third of the right side was the Tristan da Cunha; followed to Francisco da Silva and John Furtado left, formed in shallow campaign. The field master Pedro César and more, which is still in the order referred to, occupied the hill, making the download it to run into the vineyards that were left to the (...). This part of the landscape has been modified by human activity in recent years, however, the area of land was originally quite irregular in this area, as we shall see in the next entry.
